Many companies have part time package engineering needs.
Work can be seasonal, making it difficult to bring on a full-time employee. Engineers sometimes have a workload that requires an additional part-time hand. Some companies need engineering help (e.g., for new product launches and palletization), but they cannot afford a full-time engineer. A company looking for a full-time employee may need someone to handle their work immediately while they seek out the right candidate. ​
